Welsh Black Poplar
(Latin name – Populus Nigra ssp betulifolia)
A massive tree of the fertile Welsh flood plains. Since the C.19th, it has been disappearing rapidly. There are now only two hundred trees left in Wales – only two of which are female. Our trees are genetically tested and are confirmed non-hybrids.
Poplar trees are dioecious there are both male and female trees available. You would need both for succesful pollination.
